PROTECT YOURSELF
You are the target. Choose two groups of animal defenders and survive the next threat.
THE IDEA
Protect Yourself is Animal Arena's survival game. Instead of sending two packs against each other, you're the one in danger. A new threat appears and you must choose animals to defend you. Some combinations work well, some cost you dearly and some leave you exposed. Each decision has consequences for what happens next.
1. CHOOSE YOUR SURVIVAL STORY
Start by choosing where you want to be stranded. The journeys take you through a series of dangerous environments without a selection countdown. The rescue stories ask you to survive a compressed 24-hour countdown, with timed protector choices. Last Stand has no finish line: the threats keep coming for as long as you can stay alive.
2. PICK A DANGER LEVEL
Cub gives you more room to recover from a poor choice. Predator expects you to make sound decisions more consistently. Apex demands some of the strongest available combinations. You can change the difficulty before you begin a new run.
3. CHOOSE TWO DEFENDERS
When a threat appears, you'll see a fresh selection of animal groups. Choose two to protect you. The obvious heavyweight is not always the whole answer: speed, numbers, toughness and the nature of the attack all influence which pair might be effective. Animal cards help you weigh the options. In timed rescue stories you cannot take forever to decide.
4. FACE THE CONSEQUENCES
The game explains how the confrontation unfolds and what happens to your defenders. Animals that survive can continue protecting you, although their numbers, health or energy may suffer. That means a difficult victory now can leave you weaker for the next danger. If you lose too much protection, the next attack becomes harder to survive.
THREE WAYS TO TEST YOURSELF
Journeys: Think through a series of encounters and try to reach the end. Hold out until rescue: Make quick decisions while rescue approaches. Last Stand: Build your protection and try to survive one more attack, then another.
ONE RULE WORTH REMEMBERING
Don't judge defenders by their names alone. Read the danger, inspect the available animals and think about how the pair might work together. These are fictional survival scenarios based loosely on animal characteristics, not advice for handling real wildlife.
